Broken or Damaged Tape — and Tape Stuck in Equipment
Snapped tape, mold damage, "sticky shed," or mechanical failure from age or improper storage — FCM can often repair and make a damaged tape playable before transferring it to digital. FCM also rescues tapes jammed or stuck inside old VCRs, or camcorders, safely extracting the tape so it isn't lost or damaged further.
